Video: As a pilot I can use a magnetic compass for general guidance. But if the wind is blowing on the side of the airplane, I can be blown off course by quite a bit and still be holding that magnetic heading. The same thing happens to us as Christians if we only look at physical things for our guidance.

How to Change

One of the big themes for the Church of God at this time of year is change. God’s holy-day season begins in the spring of the year as winter has ended and spring has sprung. This major seasonal transition is connected to the beginning of God’s yearly holy days. One of the things the Days of Unleavened Bread bring to mind is the need for change in our lives. Christ’s sacrifice for us reminds us of the need to become more like Christ. We can do this by removing sin from our lives.
The problem is, for carnal flesh-and-blood humans, that is easier said than done. Our biggest helper in making needed change in our lives is having God’s Spirit to help us. As we learn God’s truth, the formula is to repent, be baptized, and receive God’s Spirit (Acts 2:38). This certainly is the most important point in helping us make needed changes in our lives. But are there other tools we can implement along with this?

Tonight, as I sit here at home after this past Sabbath meditating on the days ahead with Passover, Night to be much observed and the Days of Unleavened Bread all drawing closer. I was thinking about what a tremendous sacrifice God made for mankind by giving His only Son as a living sacrifice for each of us. I had to ask myself could I have made this same sacrifice. Could you? Sadly, to say I don’t think I could have especially without God’s divine intervention. Thankfully, God has a plan for mankind, and it is perfect. His plan was made before the foundation of the world so all of mankind could have salvation each in their own order and to have a chance to have their name written in the Book of Life.
Does God Love the Whole World?

One of the most popular scriptures supporting the idea that God cares about Gentiles as much as He cares about Israel is John 3:16. This scripture basically says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. When you put this together with all the scriptures we find in the New Testament, it seems very clear that God is not playing favorites.
But believe it or not, there are some people who believe in the Bible, and they take a different view about John 3:16. Groups like the Black Hebrew Israelites (BHI) and Calvinists. Both groups believe this verse is not saying God loves and wants to save everyone in the world. These groups suggest that this verse means God just wants to save the Israelites or the elect. Let’s take a closer look at why they say this and prove that what they think is incorrect.

Historic Downtown Branson has many locally owned shops over 40 shops to browse. They list eight of their favorites for the most unique gifts and souvenirs. At the time of this posting I noticed that a lot of their links did not work.
Free Downtown Trolley
Enjoy the Free discovery trolley in Historic Downtown Branson! The trolley is provided by the Historic Downtown Branson Community Improvement District to offer free rides for your convenience between Historic Downtown and the Branson Landing. Download a map by clicking the link below.
Hours of Operation
The trolley operates March-December daily, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. except on Thanksgiving and Christmas. In January and February the schedule is limited and weather permitting, please call for availability. Three trolleys run a route on a constant loop, meaning pick up and drop off is generally every 25 minutes.
