No Fear Of God

On December 15th, 2012 I listened to the Special News Report that covered yet another tragedy in our Nation, the shooting of twenty children and six adults at an elementary school in Connecticut. Since that time there have been many more school shootings. I am reminded of God’s words “Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I will forget your children!”  Even though this scripture is referring to the Priests of that time it also applies to us today as a reminder of what the consequences are of rejecting our Great God.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

It seems like every time when tragedy strikes our Nations politicians start talking about gun control when they should really be talking about the moral issue of breaking God’s law, the sixth commandment which is in Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder.  This is where the core of the problem lies not in gun control.

Honor Thy Father and Mother

By: Lanora – Woman to Woman Blog

What does it mean to honor our Father and Mother so that our days may be long? In Exodus 20:12 the scripture says “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you. The same scripture but worded a little different can be found in Deuteronomy 5:16 “Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.

The Calling of God

By: Lanora – Woman to Woman Blog

Do you remember when you were called into God’s Truth and His way of life? Remember how excited you felt and how you wanted to share it with everyone. It is still just as vivid in my mind today as it was thirty-seven years ago. That was when I responded to God’s calling. When I look back on my life I could actually see that God was working with me long before I even recognized it.

The Brides Vow

By: Lanora – Woman to Woman Blog

Tonight, as I sit here at home after this past Sabbath meditating on the days ahead with Passover, Night to be much observed and the Days of Unleavened Bread all drawing closer. I was thinking about what a tremendous sacrifice God made for mankind by giving His only Son as a living sacrifice for each of us.  I had to ask myself could I have made this same sacrifice.  Could you?  Sadly, to say I don’t think I could have especially without God’s divine intervention. Thankfully, God has a plan for mankind, and it is perfect. His plan was made before the foundation of the world so all of mankind could have salvation each in their own order and to have a chance to have their name written in the Book of Life.
