On December 15^th, 2012 I listened to the Special News Report that covered yet another tragedy in our Nation, the shooting of twenty children and six adults at an elementary school in Connecticut, I am reminded of God’s words “Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I will forget your children!”  Even though this scripture is referring to the Priests of that time it also applies to us today as a reminder of what the consequences are of rejecting our Great God.

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

It seems like every time when tragedy strikes our Nations politicians start talking about gun control when they should really be talking about the moral issue of breaking God’s law, the sixth commandment which is in Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder.  This is where the core of the problem lies not in gun control.

I don’t understand why people question why this happened to such innocent lives when it is very clear to me that God is removing the protection he once gave this Great Nation.  I should restate that because it is not God who removed the protection but the people who voted to not keep God or any resemblance of any Christian religion in our schools.  “They kicked God out of the schools by not allowing prayers, the pledge of allegiance and the Ten Commandments which is what this Country was founded on.”  Yet they don’t seem to recognize that what they have done is remove the very protection they once had, which was from God.

Perhaps they are the ones who should be held accountable for the actions of the shooter because they failed to teach God’s laws in the schools.  Our Great Nation was founded on “The Moral laws, God’s laws of the ten commandments.”  This is what kept our children safe in the past!

Hearing statements that guns kill people are to me just plain ignorant.  Guns don’t kill; people kill because of the evil that is inside of them.  Any person that wants to take another life will find a way to do it whether they have a gun or not.  Should we then outlaw cars and trucks because they can kill too?  See how ridiculous that reasoning is!  God is punishing our Great Nation because there is NO fear of Him.  They mock Him and His laws by saying they are done away with or that Christ fulfilled them on the cross.  This is totally contrary to what Christ said.

Christ said in Matthew 5:18-19

18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

19 Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

What Christ was saying is that until there is no heaven or earth the law is still in affect.  Which means God’s laws should still be obeyed today.

We are now allowing other Nations to come into our Country and practice their religion which contains false idols and false gods breaking the true God’s Commandments.  We are allowing these false practices to go on in our own schools and universities when our very own religious rights as Christians to worship our Great God are not allowed.  Yes, we are a Nation based on religious freedoms but our Christian freedoms are being taken away from us and God is allowing it to happen because of our rebellion.  Did you know that Muslims are allowed their prayer times in Schools and University’s and we have even given them prayer rooms all for the sake of being afraid to offend them?  In the mean time we as Christians are not allowed to pray in those same public places?  What happened to our rights as Christians?  There is something very wrong with this picture.  We have become a Nation of tolerance and acceptance.

Ezekiel 23:30-35

30 I will do these things to you because you have gone as a harlot after the Gentiles, because you have become defiled by their idols.

31 You have walked in the way of your sister; therefore I will put her cup in your hand.’

32 “Thus says the Lord GOD: ‘You shall drink of your sister’s cup, The deep and wide one; You shall be laughed to scorn And held in derision; It contains much.

33 You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, The cup of horror and desolation, The cup of your sister Samaria.

34 You shall drink and drain it, You shall break its shards, And tear at your own breasts; For I have spoken,’ Says the Lord GOD.

35 “Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Because you have forgotten Me and cast Me behind your back, Therefore you shall bear the penalty Of your lewdness and your harlotry.’ “

I fear for this Nation that God will pour out His wrath on America because we so casually turn away from Him.  The Apostle Paul says God hates the very things that our Country has accepted and embraced like homosexuality for instance.  Yes, our leaders of this Country have approved marriages between two men and two women which are contrary to God’s law.  And now if we disagree with it, it is called hate speech and we are the ones who are punished.  We know not to hate the people; it is the actions we hate.

The Apostle Paul states in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

In Revelation 21:7-8 God says that these people will not inherit eternal life and that they shall be thrown into the Lake of fire and destroyed forever.

7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

As our Christian rights are taken away and we see natural disasters happening more frequently, it appears that this Nation is not listening to what God has said.  We as a Nation need to repent, turn to God and worship Him.  It would appear that is why these things are happening more rapidly than ever before.  The Ministers of God are trying to teach God’s way of life and the messages are falling on deaf ears.  It is the people who will not hear the words of God. Amos 8:11 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD, “That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD.

We can see that when tragedy strikes the people of this Nation turn to God only for a short time, a fleeting moment and then as soon as things improve God is forgotten until the next disaster.  People continue on with their lives as if nothing has happened!

God says that because they don’t seek His counsel that He will rebuke them in Proverbs 1:25-33

25 Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke,

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes,

27 When your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.

28 “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.

29 Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the LORD,

30 They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke.

31 Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies.

32 For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them;

33 But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.”

There are many times when I can’t stand to listen to the news because it is filled with evil, hate and tragedy such as it was last December.  Rarely do I hear something positive or uplifting because it seems the more perverse it is, it seems to be what people want to watch and hear.  It makes me sick because I see a very different Country today than when I grew up.  It was a time when you could leave your keys in your car, leave your house unlocked, neighbor would help neighbor and your children could be disciplined by their teachers at school for not obeying without repercussions from parents.  If children disobeyed the teacher at school you could very well bet that they would be disciplined again when they got home from their parents.  God says He chastens those whom He loves just as a parent chastens a child.

Deut 8:5-6

5 You should know in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so the LORD your God chastens you.

6 Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.

It makes me wonder will our children and grandchildren even have a chance to have children of their own at the speed of evil we see accepted today.

Christ said in Matthew 24:22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

America needs to Wake Up before it is too late.  Maybe it already is! God says there will come a point when they will cry out and He will no longer hear them.  This scripture can be applied to us, as we are grafted into Israel, even though it was addressed to Israel in Jeremiah’s day for all their offensive actions to God.

Jeremiah 11:11-14

11 Therefore thus says the LORD: “Behold, I will surely bring calamity on them which they will not be able to escape; and though they cry out to Me, I will not listen to them.

12 Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry out to the gods to whom they offer incense, but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble.

13 For according to the number of your cities were your gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem you have set up altars to that shameful thing, altars to burn incense to Baal.

14 “So do not pray for this people, or lift up a cry or prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry out to Me because of their trouble.

You should ask yourself is it now, the time when God will no longer hear the prayers of this Nation?  I pray earnestly that it is not and I pray even more fervently Thy Kingdom come so we no longer have to hear the echo of innocent children’s cries.  God’s Kingdom will be a very different Kingdom when all shall go up to Worship God and He will teach us His ways.

Isaiah 2:2-4

2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the LORD’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it.

3 Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

4 He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.

For those who don’t obey or accept God’s ways the memory of them will be forever forgotten.  We will no longer have the terrible memory of those that did such evil. Because of God’s great mercy and love He will one day erase those memories of those who chose something other than His Way of Life which we know is the path that leads to Eternal Life.

How great and awesome is this Love and it gives me great Hope of our future especially when such evil surrounds us in this world today.  As a Nation we need to Repent, Turn to God, Teach His Ways, and Worship Him and with the knowledge He gives us we can learn to have proper Fear our Great God.
