We have seen some bad instances this past week because of hatred. So, this week I have been struggling with what to blog about. I will be honest, I have had a lot of new things happen recently that have kept me busy. I have been asking myself, well, what Christian principle am I learning through all this? Last week’s blog was definitely motivated by the changes that are occurring in my family’s lives. Night To Be Remembered 2018

This year for the Night to be Remembered we will have our special dinner commemorating the night of the Israelite’s coming out of bondage. The meal will begin  at 7:30 p.m. at the IBEW Hall at 2902 E. Division, Springfield, MO.

The Church will be providing the meat which will be Cornish Hen halves and Brisket. We will also have new potatoes, green beans, salad, unleavened bread and desserts.

We hope to enjoy an evening of fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ. See you there!

Passover Service 2018

Aside

The Springfield Passover Service will be held at 7:30 pm on the 29th of March 2018 at the IBEW Hall at 2902 E. Division St, please arrive 15-20 minutes before services begin. Be sure to bring your own foot washing pan and towel.

The Service is for Baptized members. It is a solemn memorial of the death of our Savior that we keep annually at the appointed time according to scripture to commemorate his death.

Walking in Faith

Has Marriage Become a Thing of the Past?

Many times today you hear about the “unmarriage” of the millennial generation. The average age when people first marry has steadily increased from 23 to around 30 in not just American culture but many other western nations around the world. Often you hear or read articles that cast marriage as a burden; something that was once considered a sign of maturity has become or is slowly becoming taboo. Getting married and having a family in our new world culture is no longer cool. The times are a changing from the days when you would graduate high school and go off to college to complete your undergraduate degree so you could start your career on your path to marriage and a family. Marriage used to be the ultimate goal for our society, but now love of the self has taken priority over anything else. Continue reading
