Night To Be Much Observed 2019

 

Passover BreadThe Church of God International Night To Be Much Observed/Remembered will be held Friday evening at 7:00 pm April 19th at the IBEW Hall 2902 E. Division, Springfield, MO. We will eat around sundown.

The menu so far is the following:

Beef Brisket
Cornish Hen halves
Red Potatoes
Sweet Potatoes – 2 Varieties
Green Beans
Glazed Carrots
Angel Eggs

Salads:
Broccoli Salad
Green Salad
Tomato Salad
Fruit Salad

Bread:
Variety of Unleavened Bread

Dessert:
Cobblers – Two
Various Desserts

Drink:
Wine
Sparkling Cider
Water
Decaf Coffee

We look forward to being together to remember this special occasion.

Passover Services Springfield MO

Passover Services will be held on Thursday evening April 18, 2019 at 7:30 pm and will begin at sundown at the RC Event and Conference Center at 910 W. Battlefield Road, Springfield, MO in the Renaissance Room.

Please bring your Bible, towel and a foot washing pan. We will have classroom style tables set up for the service.

The Passover service is for Baptized members only but family members are welcome to come and observe.

Directions:
The RC Event and Conference Center is at 910 West Battlefield Road in Springfield on the South side of Battlefield Road between Campbell and Kansas Expressway.

When you arrive at the Conference Center go to the front entrance through the glass doors, once in the building you will go to the left down the hall and the Renaissance Room is located on the right side. The restrooms are located directly across the hall from the meeting room.

Sabbath Services

On Sabbath April 13, 2019 there will be NO Services at the IBEW Hall due to them needing the Hall that day.

Instead we will have Sabbath Services at the Freedom Southern Baptist Church in the lower level. Don’t go up the ramp; go past the stairs to the front, stay on the sidewalk and you will see a short black door on the side. You will enter through that door. Please be aware that the ceilings are very low in the lower level so watch your head.

Services start at 11:00 a.m. following Services we will have 3 Baptisms.

Freedom Southern Baptist Church
Address: 2201 N Summit Ave, Springfield, MO 65803
Location is between N. National and Grant
South on Summit off Kearney and the Church is at the corner of Summit and High St.

Mike will try to have the gate open for us for parking. Parking is located off of Summit before you reach the Church on the West side which is the BBC parking lot. You will see a yellow gate on the West side of Summit go through the gate and head south towards the Church. You can see the Church building at the end of the parking lot.

My last blog looked at seeking God’s Kingdom first, and one of my main ideas that I hope I got across is to make sure God the Father and Christ our Messiah are priority number one in our lives. My blog before dealt with God working all things out for good to those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Well, my mom brought up how the two blogs actually go together. Trusting God that all things will work for good requires us to put God first in our lives, which also requires us to love Him totally. Seek Ye First

Often, when I start to worry, the statement, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God,” pops into my head. I read a lot of different versions of the Bible, but when it comes to Christ’s words in Matthew 6:33, it is always the King James Version that comes to mind. From Pain to Praise

The other day, I was reading a thankfulness journal that I have. I am actually supposed to do it daily, but I forget sometimes. However, the other day, I remembered, and it asked, “When have you seen God use suffering for good?” It was in reference to Romans 8:28: “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (NAS).
