While you are in Branson for the Feast of Tabernacles an easy way to explore Downtown is to ride the Trolley. It’s free and we have provided a map of locations below so you can park your car and ride for free to explore the shops downtown.

Historic Downtown Branson has many locally owned shops over 40 shops to browse. They list eight of their favorites for the most unique gifts and souvenirs. At the time of this posting I noticed that a lot of their links did not work.

Free Downtown Trolley

Enjoy the Free discovery trolley in Historic Downtown Branson! The trolley is provided by the Historic Downtown Branson Community Improvement District to offer free rides for your convenience between Historic Downtown and the Branson Landing. Download a map by clicking the link below.

Hours of Operation

The trolley operates March-December daily, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. except on Thanksgiving and Christmas. In January and February the schedule is limited and weather permitting, please call for availability. Three trolleys run a route on a constant loop, meaning pick up and drop off is generally every 25 minutes.

Girl Crisis

According to recent federal research, nearly one in three high school girls said they had considered suicide. This is a 60 percent increase from stats only ten years ago. This same research found 15 percent of these girls had been raped. Another six out of ten girls were so sad or hopeless that it caused them to stop regular activities.

This data comes from the Youth Risk Behavior Survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. They surveyed a nationally representative sample of public and private high school students.

A lot of this data was collected in the fall of 2021, so the Covid situation at the time may have played into some of this data.

The CDC opined that “America’s teen girls are engulfed in a growing wave of sadness, violence and trauma.” But why is there an increase in all of this for girls?

According to Harvard psychologist Richard Weissbourd, “girls are more likely to respond to pain in the world by internalizing conflict and stress and fear, and boys are more likely to translate those feelings into anger and aggression.”

Routes in Branson

This map is color coded and it will help you to use the outer roads and miss the traffic on Highway 76. It shows Theaters, Attractions, Hotels, Retail Shopping, Golf Courses and Eating Spots.

Green Route

This main route runs from Interstate 65, the way most visitors arrive in Branson on Highway 76, through the Entertainment District and toward Silver Dollar City. It’s best to avoid traveling directly on the Green Route during peak seasons in Branson, especially before and after live shows. Most show times are 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 8 p.m. and last around two hours.

Red Route

The “fast track” through Branson, this route runs approximately parallel to the Entertainment District along the north. Most of the Red Route is on State Highway 248, which is also called the Shepherd of the Hills Expressway within the city limits.

Yellow Route

Running parallel to the strip along the south, this route takes visitors along Green Mountain Drive, Wildwood Drive, and Fall Creek Road. There are also several Branson condos and motels located along the Yellow Route, as well as restaurants and attractions that are off the main drag and may be less crowded.

Blue Route

The least straightforward of Branson’s color-coded routes (but still clearly labeled), the Blue Route starts and ends on the Entertainment District and runs east to west between the Red and Green Routes. If you’re headed for a particular point on the Entertainment District but traffic is heavy, the Blue Route is the way to go. There are several cross streets that connect it with the Entertainment District.

A Real Christian

Many Christians today believe you are a Christian if you believe that Jesus lived and died for us and rose from the dead. Scriptures cited for this idea are Romans 10:9, 1 Corinthians 2:2, and John 3:16. Now let me be clear, I agree with these scriptures, but what does it mean to believe in someone or something?

Well, think about it from this perspective: if you genuinely love someone, do you act on your love? Do you do things for the other person to help them in your relationship? I’m sure you do, as I’m about to run to the grocery store to pick up something my wife has asked me to buy. I drove my daughter to school this morning and will pick her up this afternoon for the same reason. Love is not just a feeling or emotion; it is an action for the other.
