Pentecost Services 2018

Greetings,

Springfield will have services for Pentecost this Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the IBEW Hall. Following services we will have a potluck which is a picnic theme (red, white and blue).

We will provide the hotdogs, buns, toppings, Fritos, cheese and chili.

So far this is what I know some people are bringing: brisket, chicken, beans, seven layer salad and deviled eggs.

For dessert so far we have strawberry/cake dessert, banana dessert, cherry delight dessert and blueberry dessert.

We could use salads i.e. potato, pasta, slaw, etc. but bring what you want that will be easy or just come and fellowship because we usually have plenty.

We will have cold drinks, water and coffee.

What is the Unpardonable Sin?

There are people today that are haunted by some really bad things they have done in their lifetimes. Many more of us have at least some sense of shame over some of our past actions and activities, such as some of the foolish choices we may have made while growing up. Those of us who come to accept responsibility for these actions and repent of those behaviors, or of a particular lifestyle, holding ourselves accountable for it, can find comfort in knowing there is forgiveness from God, if we will accept Christ as our Savior and change our ways and model our lives after Him. NO Sabbath Services

Greetings Everyone,

We won’t have Sabbath Services this Sabbath May 5th because IBEW needs the Hall for their apprenticeship testing. We will see everyone the following week.

On another note we still do not have a start date on the Hall renovation. So we will keep everyone posted when we hear when that will be.

Have a restful Sabbath!

God Moves

My family and I just got back from the Feast. We were blessed to have been able to go to a small site in Costa Rica. It was an awesome experience.

The irony is that my children and I were not too excited about going to Costa Rica at first. One reason is we had just started at a new school that I am teaching at for the first time. So, we had a lot of “firsts” going on, and we just weren’t really in the right frame of mind to travel to a country we had never been to before and one that spoke a language that none of us are able to speak. However, my husband happened to purchase our plane tickets before we had a chance to voice our concerns, so we ended up going to Costa Rica. And we all are so grateful that we did. Continue reading
