Weekly update

Greetings all,

This has for sure been one of the most unusual Passovers and Days of Unleavened Bread that any of us have been through in our life times! We are isolated, not able to meet in person, stuck with news coverage that only seems to focus on anything negative they can find and just plain bored out of our minds.

People are beginning to say now that the isolation and staying at home may end up causing more harm than the initial virus itself. Just one opinion for sure but they might be right if this goes on much further.

I must admit that I am a bit surprised that none of the religious leaders in the country, or around the world, have made any mention of this pandemic being part of the plagues mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Usually someone desires attention and pretends to know more than anyone else so they come to the forefront with just such claims.

So could this pandemic be just that? Part of the Bowl Plagues?

I’ve spent some study time trying to see if that could be possible. It does not take much reading to see that there are a lot of very identifiable things that have to happen before the pouring out of the bowls in Revelation Chapter 16.

There are however two distinct possibilities. One being that God says:

1 Cor 13:8
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
NKJV

So if God wanted to, He could skip many of the things that a lot of scholars are looking for as signs of the end times thus catching them totally off guard. And therefore the warning that we should be praying always and standing ready at all times in our lives.

The second, and for me I think the most likely, is that God is firing a shot across the bow so to speak to get the worlds attention!

It was just a few months ago that we were enjoying one of the most robust employment rates in our Nations history. Now we have states with unemployment in the 24% range! Numbers that we have not seen since the great depression!

We went from setting Stock Market records for weeks in a row to some of the largest single day losses in the markets history!

This is what the world was saying:

Rev 3:17-18
‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ —
NKJV

And just how long did it take to bring all of that to a sudden halt? Not long!

When the bowls are fully poured out, and that is if God does not cut time short or make prophecies fail, then we would have first the Malignant sores, then the Sea turns to blood, then the waters turn to blood, men are scorched, we have darkness and pain, the Euphrates dries up and lastly the Earth is shaken.

So nothing we are seeing today fits anywhere in the Bowl Plagues.

What about the Seals?

Keep in mind, there are Seals to be broken, there are Trumpet Plagues and there are Bowl Judgments.

The first thing that happens on Earth is the Seals being opened!

Then comes the Trumpet blast and the seventh trumpet announces the return of Jesus Christ.

After Christ returns, well you’ll have to read all of that and see if you think the Bowl Judgments are set just before what is called the “Day of the Lord” in Revelation and not something that happens before Christ returns. There is a reason they are called “Judgment Bowls”. And to whom was given judgment? Christ!

So back to the Seals! As you read through them you can see that depending on where you live on earth and at what time, some of these may have already been opened.

The First Seal: The Conqueror, Christ overcomes Satan! Read Rev 6:1 & 2.

The Second Seal: Conflict on earth, yes, we have had that from almost day one.

The Third Seal: Scarcity on Earth. Famines have been ongoing for years in certain parts of the Earth and during different times.

Fourth Seal: Widespread Death. It says to kill 1/4th of the earth. So I’m not aware of any point in time where this has happened.

Fifth Seal is the Martyrs which we have had from Christ’s time forward but there is likely a time when Martyrs will be more pronounced.

Sixth seal is Cosmic Disturbances: Nothing I see in history fits this seal!

The seventh Seal is the Sealing of the 144,000 of Israel. How this happens is anyone’s guess. Is it a last minute thing or has this been a progressive project of God that has been going on for a long time?

We think we know the answers to all of this, but in reality Paul summed it up quite well when he said we see through a glass dimly! How true!

No one can answer most of these questions! What we are told to do is to watch and be patient. Hold fast what we have and know that our salvation is not dependent on some set of test questions with Salvation only going to the one who might be able to answer the most questions. The outcome centers on what we all did on Passover Evening. We renewed our covenant relationship with our Lord and Savior, the Son of the Most High God! We acknowledge that we are weak, we can’t save ourselves, and we can only obey God as best we know how, love one another and love God.

No one can take that from you!
