Sabbath Services and Holy Days

We will be meeting with United Church of God in Nixa until the remodel of our Hall is complete. We expect the remodel won’t be done until we get back from the Feast but we will keep you posted.

So far the ceiling tiles have all been taken down and I think they replaced the grids where the skylights were and now they are ready for the painters to come in this week and paint the ceiling grids and walls. Once that is complete they will install the new ceiling tile and then start on the floors.

Place: Nixa Senior Citizens Center
Address: 404 South Main St, Nixa, MO 65714

Directions: Take South Campbell to Nixa which turns into Massey Blvd. Turn left on W Mt Vernon St and then right on Main St the Nixa Senior Citizens Center is just past South Street on the left side (Blue Building).

Feast of Trumpets – September 10th Monday

Services: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM then Potluck to follow
Afternoon: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Place: American Legion Nixa Memorial Post 434
Address: 591 McCroskey St, Nixa, MO 65714

Directions: Take South Campbell to Nixa which turns into Massey Blvd. Turn left on W Northview Road and then right on McCroskey St. and the American Legion is on the right side.

Day of Atonement – September 19th Wednesday

Services Time: 1:00 PM

What are You Looking At?

Are you so focused on your failures, missed opportunities, mistakes, trials, etc… that you miss God’s beauty? Do you overlook the blessings that you already have because they don’t match the “pictures of success” in your mind? If yes, then you are looking at the wrong things. You are listening to the deceiver who doesn’t want you to be joyful, hopeful, and faithful. You are allowing yourself to have a pity-party-of-one, which honestly I believe makes Satan happy and God a bit sad. Don’t worry, I’m talking to myself here also. Continue reading
